Women in Science

On the occasion of the  International Women’s Day,  this Illustration celebrates the achievements of women in science.

Olga Guerrero was the first woman to work in the Department of Parasitology at the University of Costa Rica (UCR), During her 33 year career as a professor and a researcher at the UCR, she contributed to the development of science and paved the way for new generation of costa rican microbiologists.
